10 pics are here, but little wordiness as the pics speak for themselves. GOOD OL' MINOLTA!!!! #1...SRT 101b #2...SRT 201 with flash and MC58/1.4 lens. Hard to see in the pic but it is covered in maroon. #3...Chrome 202 #4...Black 202 #5...Black XE7 #6...L to R...28/2.8, 35/2.8, 50/1.4 and 58/1.4 #7...L to R...135/2.8, 200/3.5 and 500/8. #8...L to R...28-70/4.5, 300/5.6 and 70-210/4.5 #9...Himatic F and 110 SLR #10...Disc 7 and Minolta 16. Holding up the 16 is an old red Kodak film case. All are operational. Ah...I said the pics speak for themselves. Well, that is as far as the equipment goes. But the pics themselves came out like condensed cow manure...crappy! Ron Head Kalamazoo, MI

Ron
I have an SRT101 and an XG-M, but haven't used them much as I don't want to get into another lens system too deeply. If I had that lens collection, I probably wouldn't use anything else!

Here is a LINK to most of my Minolta Collection. Many of these pictures are from the Ebay Auctions when I won the cameras. There's a link there for my SRTs also.

Ron,
Nice collection of usable Minoltas.
I have four that work fine but I'm always thinking about buying another...or two.
Mine are so user-friendly I just have no reason to look elsewhere.
That XE-7 will spoil you.

Next to my SRT 101 I use the XE7 the most.
Terry of Terry's Camera Repair in California says the XE7 is probably one of the best cameras Minolta made.
I get a lot of questions from people asking what the difference is between the SRT 101 and the SRT 101b. Primarily it is the hot shoe on the 'b'.
When I had my 101 reconditioned by Terry, he said he could add the hot shoe. I thought he was just going to do some rewiring, but he added the entire 101b top.
Minolta was my first SLR, and I continue to love them to this day!!

Ah come on there, Wayne...
There are plenty of good previously owned(as car dealers now like to say) out there that you can start a good Minolta collection. Go for it!!

Back around 1980 or so I was on a coffee break in the company cafeteria and was going through some pictures I had just picked up at the local drug store.
A fellow sat down beside me and asked me what kind of a camera I used and I said "A Minolta XE-7." I asked him if he was into photography and he said yes, he had a Nikon with all the bells and whistles.
Then he asked if he could see my photos. After he looked at a few family shots he remarked that the color rendition was right on the money and he was amazed at the pictures I was getting from my Minolta.
Curious, I asked him how they compared with his Nikon shots. He told me he was a little unhappy with face shots he had been getting as they had a pink tint.
A few months later he came into the break room again and said he had been looking for me. Someone had stolen his Nikon from his car and he said the insurance pay-off was not enough to replace what he had so he was thinking about picking up a Minolta, based on what he had seen from my photos.
He asked me what I would buy if I was in the market for a Minolta. That was a very easy question for me, a black XD-11 because it had such a bright viewfinder and was fairly compact.
A few weeks later the guy walked into the break room with a brand new black XD-11, complete with motor drive. He said the XD-11 was performing far better than he had thought it would and he was totally happy he had tried Minolta.
I'm sure a part of him still missed his beloved Nikon but the lower price and smooth handling of the Minolta soothed the pain a bit.
