Here's my favorite camera to take to car shows. It has the brightest viewfinder of all my SLRs. I can use all of my M42 lenses with it. Talk about versatile! Randy Jay

I have one of these cameras too. Mine needs a little attention to make it a user, but nothing severe. Just the light seals need replacing. Mine sits proudly alongside my Praktica MTL-5 and Praktica LB. They all share a nice assortment of lenses.
I like the fact the camera is a bit smaller than the Prakticas and it fits perfectly into my hands.

I agree. I have two of them, but they are the "N" model. I did replace the seals and made a few repairs. One of them still have the plastic base protection but still looking for a decent focusing screen for the other one, although perfectly workable. Greetings to all. Very nice board.

Randy I'd agree with you. These Fujica cameras are often overlooked when choices for M42 cameras are made. With the Fuji lenses or Tamrons with the Fuji mount you get open aperture metering as well. I had one some years ago and foolishly sold it. Must have been mad

Well, my Fujica ST605N (I forgot to mention mine was the 'N' model in my previous post) now has new light seals. I haven't ran a roll through it yet. Might do that tomorrow when I go see some trains.

I have the ST-605 and the 605N. I've heard (someone's Fujica website) that there was a 605 II (roman number 2) version. I've collected every M42 model of Fujica except that one, if it exists. I've watched ebay for over three years and have never seen one. I'm tempted to think it doesn't exist or was a model that never went past the prototype stage. Anybody know?

I, for one, had never even seen a Fujica until on this group and really had no idea about them.
From all the good reports here, I did purchase a 901. It works fine, is small but quite hefty and fits nicely into my hands.
Have missed, on Ebay, an 801 a couple times.

The ST-801 is the best of the breed! I keep mine loaded with infrared film since my newer SLR fogs it.
