We have some members here that either don't have many cameras, don't have a film camera, or like me...don't have a lot of money to throw around. For those in that catagory, read on... The M42 screwmount lens system, ie...Pentax, Mamiya, Praktica, Yashica, Ricoh, Chinon, and Cosina, (there are more) is a proven system and are the most widely used cameras to date. Interchangability is the ruling word here, the M42 lens will fit all these cameras with only a few exceptions. One of the most indestructable cameras utilizing this system is the COSINA Brand, and all most all of them use the COPAL metal blade shutter! Well, back to the LOW $$$ part... Vivitar! The Vivitar SL Series of M42 SLR was made by COSINA from the mid 1970s into the early 1990s and are wonderfull cameras. In fact, these cameras were offered in kits including case, camera, flash, strap, 50mm lens, 200mm lens, and 2X adapter. Now here's the $$$ part, you can pick these up on E-bay for under $20.00 for the complete package! Check them out, I bought this package last year for $12.00!!!
