I bought my wife a Pentax MX many years ago along with the F4 50mm Macro lens. She really liked that combinaton and shot so much with it that it was more brass showing than black. Finally it had to have a CLR done and when back in her hands she used it for a few more days and then accidently dropped it down a 16 step flight of stairs. (carpet) No harm to camera! They are tough! I tried to get her onto the AF bandwagon and bought her a PentaxSFXn with a couple of AF lenses. She hated it! After a few frustrating tries, it now sits on the shelf. I subsequently bought her a Nikon F80 and finally she has something she likes. Now she steals my Nikkors - so not so good. The message is that the MX is one very good (and tough) camera and one that should keep most people happy for a long time. Hers now has a final resting place of honour on the shelf. It has probably shot more images than any other in my collection (that I know of at least). I think I still have the original power winder (2 fps IIRC) that she never used but I it kept anyway. Phil

My wife latched onto my Minolta X-370 a couple years ago and she uses it exclusivly. I've lent her other cameras to try but she always goes back to the Minolta. Freda says the Minolta X-370 is the easiest camera to use in all situations for her, and she has claimed it as her own. She has been eyeing my XG-9 lustfully.
