A friend of mine (not me, honest!) is looking for a good used Olympus OM-1 MD body. He'd rather not use eBay, having just got burned. Shipping to Boston.
If you hear of a good user, please let me know and I'll pass on the info.
Cheers,
Gene

Gene Gene, have you considered having your friend take a look at KEH Camera? He'll pay more for an OM-1 from them but he'll be guaranteed that he'll get what he pays for...... and their stuff is often better than you expect it to be. BTW, I just cured a 33 year old 50mm f/1.4 Zuiko that had slow-to-open aperture blades. About 15 minutes and a couple of drops of naptha. Now it's as snappy as when I bought it in 1973. Walker

Gene, www.keh.com has quite a few OM-1MD's. I don't think Ebay would be all that cheaper. I have bought quite a few cameras from KEH and they have always been nicer than I expected, and always worked in every particular. I have bought mostly EX and better, but I have an RB 6x7 that was rated bargain that is quite nice and not at all ratty. I have had a 100% perfect customer experience with them over the course of quite a few years. Dwight

Walker, Dwight, Brian, thanks kindly. Yes, I'll suggest KEH to him. Shipping is to Boston rather than to Canada so the UPS gig should be okay. I'd personally buy more often from KEH if they ever smartened up about shipping to Canada, but they're 100% inflexible about it. The attitude about this turns off a lot of Canadians. The only time I buy from them is if it's something fairly expensive, where the UPS fees are not such a large percentage of the deal.
