as the weather is sorta nice and the dog and i have been far too lazy of late, i plan a nice long walk today. this will be my walking kit, 2 short zooms covering a range from 28 to 150 with 2 smallish zooms. i hope to post some pics before the christmas break is over. joe

it's an oly winder 2 ron. i have 2, this being the most recently acquired, from norway if i recall right.
it's a bit worn on the bottom but otherwise looks good and seems to work fine. the other winder is in better shape and is waiting for the om2n to arrive.

back from my walk which was shorter than expected but still enjoyable.
i noticed some things, while walking and it started me comparing the om1 to my little panasonic digital. the om is so small and even with the winder seemed pretty quiet. despite being small the function switches and dials all seems really large. the meter on/off switch for example is really big. and then my digital, as most are, have these very tiny button & switches. i think they could do better.
i also noticed that i enjoyed using the longer end of the zoom, the 150mm was very nice today. i started liking/using the wider lenses with rf more & more and barely use the 90 - but with the slr the longer lens really feels more natural/comfortable. i am really looking forward to the fast 180 and even the slow 200! i can see a place for both slr and rf.
the rf will be my (near) constant companion just because of what/how i like to shoot and that's just more comfortable with a wide on a rf body.

it's a nice camera rick. my only complaint is that the flash is pathetically weak. i may even buy a bigger flash for it, if i can figure out how to use it. ironic really as it's the only camera i use flash with.
