Hi guys It's question time! Why don't my Sigma lenses work with my EOS 30. Mirror pops up- LCD blanks out and the battery icon flashes. On pressing the shutter again all reverts to normal. Is it being snobby about non Canon lenses? Is it a cunning plan by Canon to make me spend vast amounts of my wife's money on their (albeit excellent) lenses. Any ideas gentlemen?
Regards Chris

Some of the Sigma lense were not re-chipped to work with newer Canon's. Most will work at the smallest aperture, ie f4, but some will not work at all. Most Tamron and Tokina lenses will work but some of the older Sigma's were not reverse engineered
