So I went to the camera fair just to get some battery's(thats the one's didn't get last time I went) Other half came with me in the guise of banker/Tea and cake buyer.Came away with a half tidy Olympus OM10 c/w 50mm standard lens and an enormous Series 1 Vivitar 70-210 zoom. I have to say it was said wife who spotted camera mainly because it was priced up (Mistakenly,as it turned out!)at a mere £15 ($30) The zoom lens was £35-Got them both for £45($90) And still had enough for tea and cake! But thats not all, me hearties!-went to local museum (I'm 'camera expert' according to them- shows how much they know) and was offered a pristine Centon DF 300 c/w 24mm Sigma, 2x converter and a 28-200 Sirus zoom skylight and polarising filter included. All free gratis and fer nothing. My kinda deal.Turns out that he was 'using digital all the time now' and had no further use for said items. As we say over here 'a right royal result' Regards Chris PS. Err no I didn't get the battery's...... next time perhaps....

Hi Chris, Sounds like you did really well, especially with the Centon. Can't beat free. Centon is the Chinese take off of Minolta isn't it? I had one I was bidding on in the U.K. and a Seagull too but let then both slide by when I bought my FSU Start SLR. Now I've gotta get my hands on a Centon, a Seagull SLR, Phenix RF, Five Goats RF, a Rollieflex, and some form of medium format SLR maybe a Salyut or Kiev then I'm all caught up on what I want in my collection. Ok, almost caught up.

Hi Curt, yes I believe the Centon is a clone of one of the X series Minoltas possibly the 300? Doubtless one of our number will confirm soon!
