Hello all,
I was wondering, is it a good idea to change out the memory battery in a Maxxum 7000 that you have just gotten?
If so, what type of battery does it use?
Thanks, Ed

As you know, that internal battery under the AAA battery pack is for memory backup. You have to remove the battery case and then you are able to remove and change a battery (Varta/ Energizer/Panasonic etc. CR 2016 lithium 3V coin cell battery) For the job you will need a screwdriver and that's it.

That's good information Reijo, I was wondering about that myself. I haven't found out if my memory battery is good because I put a roll of film in it and used it up in one day. I shut the camera off between photos and it kept the film counter numbers.

Thanks for the info Reiska. I am also going to write the date that I changed it on the sliver part for reference.
