Sara and I took a Sunday drive today down to a spot on the Snake River about 25 miles from our place. There is a natural/inspirational trail and museum that was created by a very wealthy woman starting back in the 1960s. She passed away a couple of months ago at age 94 but the museum is endowed and will continue. The spot was a stage stop on the road from Sacramento, California to Boise, Idaho back in 1861. That's about as old as modern habitation gets in this part of the country. The first shot is of an old Railroad bridge across the Snake River (that's Sara strolling on it). Second shot is of a peacock at the museum. He seemed to like my flash. The third shot of Abe and me was shot by Sara with here Canon P&S. Abe says he is impressed with my D300.

Nice pix Wayne. Mo's cousin lives about another 10 miles out from there. Roy

Right you are! There is a woman out there who has been in hot water for raising wolves. Don't know if she still is or not, but Mo's cousin lives right near there.

There isn't anything 10 miles from Walters Ferry EXCEPT Murphy! They went out last week and hauled off all but a few of the woman's animals. I guess she voluntarily agreed.

They were beautiful animals, but they didn't belong in captivity. They made a godawful din at night! I didn't have the heart to even photograph them in cages, to say nothing of the possibility of her taking umbrage to a camera! Roy

Ah...Abe seems to be a little friendly thar. Was he trying to trade his books for the D300?
