I'm not sure if its of much interest to you guys but i thought i would show it anyway seeing how i rarely take pics of my cameras (one day i would like to do them all)...mainly because me and my digital camera aren't on speaking terms most of the time (horrible 2megish canon that has a mind of its own). but i took this picture for a bloke in england that found the yellow filter and a UV along with the hood for 2 pound in a shop near him and purchased them just for the hell of it tho he didn't need them...he then offered to send them to me at cost which was very generous and nice i thought! (i didn't know him at all) i gave him extra though,,it seemed the right thing to do..
anyway they are genuine Zeiss accessories for this camera and i kinda like them, the camera needs a lube (not that i have done one of these before) as the rangefinder dial is a bit stiff but otherwise it is ok i think...but i have decided until i can make a dedicated place somewhere here to work on my cameras i am not going to do any more work to them...i am a bit tired of working on the kitchen table!
anyway i thought the pic turned out kinda ok (i hope you agree, if it looks poor on your screen let me know) considering i had to trick the camera to focus on the spot, make it change what 'IT' wanted exposure wise, hide its flash and used a torch as lighting haha...cant hook up studio flash to this thing besides just for a snap shot to show i couldn't be bothered to get it all out.
my kids bought this camera for me hmm i dunno maybe 8-10 years ago, cost a mighty big pretty penny too! and i couldn't trade it for a lunch now ...well maybe a big mac! maybe hehe.
thats what i like about digital, they hold their price so well and are so easy to use ..no offense to folk with digital..and i am sure i will like a nice new modern one one day!
