I had a very pleasant bike ride along the shore of Lake Ontario yesterday. The first shot shows the bicycle path winding through a wooded area. The second was taken in a park overlooking the lake. Waterfront TrailSummer Day, Lake OntarioBoth taken with Canon SD800 IS Gene

Gene ... just once post one of the 30-60 that you don't think are OK. I know I'd feel better. LOL! ;D Both pictures are good, but I love that second shot. Your eye is still in tip-top shape ... you had to anticipate that one, and wait for that boat to be in just the right place ... nicely done!

Nice shots, what else! You seem to have an easy-going bike The shape of the tree brings a Mediterranean tone on the second picture. It is my favorite too.

Ron, Randy, Reijo, thanks for the kind comments.
My bike is a 'comfort bike' - a hybrid with upright handles and a bigger seat.

Gene, I hope you don't mind me 'crapping' on your thread again ? This a photo of my Carlton 531 Professional taken in the hills just south of where I live. The wheel is a Mavic MA40 36 Campag 3x which is self built, I do have the dial gauges, jigs and the ability to true quite accurately, this of course this after the intial 'rough' build and min. 100 miles running in period. Below are some of the tools used.

Wahoo, you are obviously into bikes in a serious way. I just ride 'em, and casually at that, but I have a friend who has five bikes and he too has recently built his own wheels for a 'winter bike' he put together for bad weather in Canada. On most days he rides 22km before going to work. Needless to say he has superb cardio-vascular conditioning.

Wahoo, you are obviously into bikes in a serious way. Gene, these cycle repairs were more of a necessity than choice and since I was looking after a number of bikes at that time, I guess at a repair shop this would have cost an arm and a leg. Since there is a cycle track nearby there was a reasonable supply of decent wheels/hubs bent and otherwise some of which I would buy, cut off the sprint rims and re-lace with rims of choice. For a couple of years I rode a bike to work (a little over 8 miles) and the bottom photos were taken on one such journey.
