I realize we see these all the time, being a collection staple and what-not, but they just look so lovely in person and I wanted to share the beauty. I may have gotten a little artistic with the shutter shot, but hey, this thing is good looking. Pics: Edit for: Image Issue

I have an A2B also. Ever try to use the built in extinction meter? The film with the progressive density shading is missing on mine. This could be one of the first cameras with a built in meter. Dave

Mine has the film, but doesn't function.

I used to belong to the Argus Group. There is a wealth of information on their site and a few years ago, I was able to get hold of an old new-in-the-box light meter that mounted on my C3.
This group also has an annual get-together for members who are interested.
And there is an Argus museum in Michigan in the city where the Argus company started. You can find their website online.

Alex,
"ARGOMANIA A Look At The Argus Cameras And The Company That Made Them" by Henry J. Gambino is a fascinating book that tells all about Argus and its cameras.
If interested try percy@tradenet.net and mention your membership in The Camera Collector. It might help. It worked for IDCC members two tears ago.
By the way, your golden close up of the lens/shutter should be on the cover of some publication.

Thanks Mickey and Renaldo! I will try to do some research. I might actually have Argomania.

Alex: You seem to be adding to your collection at a prodigious pace! Gets to you, doesn't it?! ;D Indeed. I am having to get more shelves cut for the SECOND display case for the new additions.
