Gene, I don't care how much you deny it, your shots are masterful! I'll echo others: Publish your book! Roy

Yes...a nostalgic shot. But also the mind of the writer looking at the pic and coming up with a neat little diddy to go with it.

The subtle sepia tone goes well with your subject..

Very nice Gene! I've seen pics of that truck before, is it part of a historical display?

Renaldo, Michael, Randy, thanks.
There are a couple of these old trucks that were brought in, as far as I can tell, simply to 'decorate' the Distillery District. I guess they hint at its age. They're right out in the open for anyone to look at or take photos of.

Gene, nice idea. Local by-laws must be quite free and easy. If that truck were here in Ashford, as a display on private land to which the public has free access, our local council would require a low fence round it with a 'Warning, Sharp Metal Edges' notice.
If this wasn't done, the council would slap a 'Danger to Children' notice on it giving the owner seven days to comply. After seven days they would get a local contractor to cart it away to a metal recycling plant and send the owner a hefty bill for the transport!

Over here we call it "Population Control". Here is Gene's truck in glorious colour. All its sleek lines all prepped and ready for the get-away. Mickey

Peter, I understand how it's come about, but I think we've become an overly protective society. The stuff we used to do as a kid -- well, nobody would believe me now -- and it was commonplace.
Mickey, I think we might want to tune the engine a bit before the heist.
