Been lurking here for a while, thought I should join. Got my first camera when I was 15 (32 years ago). I worked as a camera repair tech from 1980 to 1986, I've been repairing x-ray machines for the last 22 years. Here's a few pics of my collection. My Pentaxes, most notable is the 28mm Shift lens. My Nikonos cameras, I don't dive as much as I would like any more. 8mm movie equip My sister got this darkroom set at an auction house she works at. If anyone can date it for me, I'd appreciate it.

Gary:
Welcome aboard and nice collection. Do you have trouble with seals on the Nikonos gear getting hard?

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. Wayne, to answer your question, I haven't had any problems with the seals getting hard but I know that can be a problem. I took the Nikonos 2 on a dive last year with no problems, it has original orings in it. One of my 3's has a leak I couldn't fix, so it stays on the shelf, I think the top cover has a crack in it. Here's one of my favorite UW pictures. I took this near West Palm Bch, FL about 20 years ago.

Gary: Welcome to the group. Sorry I'm a bit late with the welcome. Was out of town visiting the grandkids, and then had a zillion things to do here, so I wasn't logging on much. And that's the truth. It has nothing whatsoever to do with the fact there's no Mamiya in your collection. LOL!! ;D

Gary, Don't take this the wrong way, but I see your collection and feel so inadequate! I guess the money I shovel to my therapist would be better spent on cameras.

Welcome! I'm new here too. I am admiring your Pentax gear...I've got a collection myself and all of these great pics are inspiring me. I gotta get a "family portrait" together of mine too ;-)
Great collection and I hope you're enjoying this forum as much as I am!

Welcome Gary! This is a very good place to visit, I think you'll like it. My first SLR was a Pentax Spotmatic, oh back when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Great camera! Wish I still had it. I still have my OM-1 I bought to replace it
