I do not see a dent Randy, where do you see a dent? What do ya think of the camera, Randy? Sorry Alex, it was an optical dillusion. It's a great camera, I can never find any goodies like you can. I can only find the model rairoad deals.

For starters, I would like to apologize for my bad english and crashing the topic, but this was the only place I could find that seemed possible to give me some kind of information.
Last week I found in my basement an EXA 1A with Meyer-Optik Görlitz Domiplan 2.8/50 and Meyer-Optik Görlitz Primotar 3.5/135 lenses.
Since there aren't manny collectors in my country I'm in a dilema, is this camera of any value? I'm trying to sell it, but don't know how to set price. I would be grateful for all the help you could give me

The Exa 1A isn't worth a lot, although it is an interesting camera because the mirror and the shutter are combined. Much depends on the condition of the camera. You can probably search ebay for completed transactions and get an idea of its worth. Im guessing that if the camea and lenses are in good condition they might be woth $75 (at the very most).

Hi René
Why don't you try using it? It's a nice compact camera. I can't remember if the shutter is cloth or metal (look for pin-holes if it's a cloth one). Some people on here don't like the Domiplan, but I've found it very functional, and not bad for close-up photography. It will focus down to about 280mm. The Primotar is a nice portrait lens. Both lenses will fit any of the Exacta cameras except for the very early ones. Post the pictures on here if you do try it!
Regards - John

Thank you for your replies. I've yet to decide what to do with it, but if I will use it, I'll make sure to post pictures! P.S. Shutter is metal.

I've discovered a monthly flea market in an area of retired older folks. There's inevitably a table of photo stuff. Usually its filled with plastic point-and-shoot 35's, but this weekend I scored a Kodak Autographic (2-C) a Cine-Kodak Eight Model 60 and a GE light meter. All in great shape and so lovely to hold such heavy, quality equipment. The farther along we go in this post-industrial world the more awesome heavy metal is to me.
