Hi I am hoping that someone would be able to help me with an issue on my praktica BC1... After dropping the camera, the shutter is jammed... Oddly, the mirror lifts up when the film winding lever is moved. A bit of curtain can permanently be seen in the viewfinder. Also the film winder can be moved on forever regardless of whether or not the shutter was activated (not that it can be in its current state) Such a shame seeing as this is actually an incredibly nice camera. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Hi - and welcome. The BC1 IS a lovely camera, and will sometimes stand up to being dropped, but obviously not in your case. Peter may have something to say on the matter, but that sounds fairly terminal ! You can repair them, but they are so cheap on eBay, I wouldn't bother. Just get another - and put a hippy strap on it!
Regards - John
