Many thanks, everyone. I had a really great day with phone calls, cards and presents from all the scattered family.
No cameras, but my big surprise was that John and Wendy, and my daughter Emma and her husband Phillipe, clubbed together and bought me a four-wheeled electric mobility buggy. I love it.
Now I'll be able to get out and about more and won't be housebound, so with luck I'll be taking some pictures. I'll get John to take a picture of me on it and post it here in the next few days.
At the moment I'm keeping it by the back door with a cover over it, but John is going to build me a shed and run electric power to it so I can keep it in there and keep the batteries charged up.
