Wonderful pictures, as usual, Gene. I particularly like the first one and the combination of black and white and colour in two others.
You always manage to see pictures where most of us see ... well, nothing worth photographing!

Gorgeous photos, Gene. I particularly like the fourth picture which has a strong three dimensional quality. The colours against the monochrome background are very effective.

Gene
This is getting frustrating, I am running out of superlatives for your posted images. Your ability to see an image in the ordinary and your post processing skills leave me a bit jealous. Keep posting when you can as they a joy to see.

Peter, Mickey, Vintage Bob, Nikon Bob, thanks kindly. I'm enjoying the little G9, though I do hope to get back to some film shooting soon.

They're splendid Gene, and congratulations for the G9. I've always thought the G series to be an echo of the 1960s, especially the F:2 lens (I know they never had zooms in the 1960s but nevertheless). I still use my G5 and pretend it's a rangefinder camera. My only grievance is that its painfully grainy at 400ASA, with a hint already at 200. It overexposes by one stop, so i have it set one stop down, and can use a slower sensitivity. It's a pity they've dropped the F:2 lens in the recent versions, but on the other hand the zoom now has a longer reach.

Thanks Sid, I got into digital with a G2 when they were new and always liked it. The G9 certainly offers much more, for less. Because of its very good image stabilization, I can shoot at iso80 in most situations, and rarely need to go beyond 200. Gene
