I see the reaction to flu shots in this thread is very normal, some for and some against. For me, I get them as they are free (get some of my taxes back) and they haven't hurt any. By that I mean I have had no ill effects from the shots and over the years have remained virtually flu free. I can only recall a couple of times in the last 15 or so years that I have had what might have been a very mild case of the flu lasting but a few days. YMMV.
