Hi all. After 18 days locked in almost mortal combat with a vicious, vindictive flu bug that stubbornly ignored the miracle serum pumped into my arm in October and after the same number of days without having touched my camera(s) I am ready to go. I see I have a lot of catching up to do so that is where I shall start. After that I guess I should post something - but what? I don't have a clue. I shall try to find something that will get everybody riled up. It's good to be back. Mickey

Mickey: Must have been something other than the flu. I would think any self-respecting virus would have fled the first time you told one of your "sick" jokes Glad you are back . Wayne

I know what you mean by the vicious old virus. And I empathize with you. I now have the flue for the 4th. time since winter. Glad you are feeling better!
"Back in the Saddle Again"...a song sung by Gene Autry. I can still see the pic on the "singing cowboys" album I had as a kid...him on top of his white horse. But gosh, I cannot remember his horse's name.

Everybody riled up Mickey? I've only managed to do it with about half the members. Course, that was a time when a lot of them were on holiday but even so...
LOL Welcome back !!

I've heard of several people getting 'virus infections' a short time after having a flu jab so I've stayed clear of them - the jabs not the people. Someone suggested that they lower your resistance to infection for a time, and you're fair game for any virus bug that's floating about. Don't know if that's pukkah or just an urban legend.

Bah! Getting the flu from a flu shot is an old wives tale IMO. The only time I ever got sick after a flu shot was waaay back the first year they had them ('70s, I think), when they used live virus. A lot of folks got sick then. I've taken the shots virtually evey year and never got sick from them. There have been times later when I've got some type of flu but long after getting the shot.

The thing with the flu shot is that it is just a guess as to what strain of the flu "they" think will appear in a given year. Like this year here in the US...they guessed wrong...the inoculation was for a different strain of the flu that showed up this winter. so, I don't get the shot......and I don't give a rat's a$$ .... ;D (just one inflexible Man's opinion---) Bob

Thanks everyone.
See, John. I did manage to get some people riled up - about flu shots.
It's good to be back.
Well, I am off now to see what other mischief I can stir up.
Mickey
P.S. For general contemplation ....
A fly and a flea in a flue Were trapped. Now what could they do? Said the fly to the flea "Let us fly." Said the flea to the fly "Let us flee." So they flew through a flaw in the flue.
