Here's a house by the beach, along the Great Highway in the Outer Sunset of San Francisco (the 'Avenues')..

Michael - Thought it was a cartoon house until I saw the shadows. Somebody really wanted to make a statement - not sure what it was about!

Well, I'm not saying I want to live in it! But I do like driving by it on the way to work.. someone was a fan of Mondrian and I've always liked him too. Here's another one, taken at St Mary's Cathedral, maybe more to your taste?

Michael,
Someone is obviously a fan of Art Deco.
Not quite my taste, but at least it's different.

Michael
Don't get me wrong, it is different and interesting. Also consider my tastes run to beer. For some reason it looked really familiar and should have been recognizable. Thanks to your mentioning Mondrain, I now where from. I like Art Deco, just not as a paint scheme on a house.

What can I say, 'only in San Francisco' as Herb Caen's tag line went...
