My father came out of hospital yesterday following a small operation (although nothing's small at 84).
Here's the e-mail I just sent to my sister:-
I did all the laundry Dad had brought home from the hospital. Whoa! Hoo, hoo, hoo. I'm the man....!! Then I did it again, because he'd left a paper hanky in his dressing gown pocket.... Ha !!

Another failure to follow the dhoby expert's advise to always check the pockets first. Good to know someone else does it too. At least it proves that we are only human.

John, I think we've all been guilty of this. About a month ago I left a 1gb memory stick in the pocket of my trousers that went in the washing machine. Didn't do it a lot of good PeterW

John,
I did the tissue trick once and only once. As usual I have to learn the hard way. Now I make it a habit of going through the pockets of every garment before tossing it in the washing machine. By the way. Leaving a fountain pen in one of the pockets sends a noteworthy message too.
