On July 4 I shot several pictures with my DSLR and got a couple of decent images. Then our youngest daughter hauled out her point and shoot and shot several photos of her neices that are better than anything I got with my fancy gear. What makes this photo really remarkable is she had to deal with the ole P&S shutter lag. And it wasn't just a lucky shot. She had several other good action shots besides this one.

A few years back I was reading a DOT article on New Hampshire's Covered Bridges, complete with photos. In the appendix, the author was giving all kinds of technical directions on the best way to photograph the bridges. Then at the very bottom he added that his wife got equally good pictures with her little P&S, lol. Nice shot. Girls look like they were having a great time!

Your daughter had great timing.....timing the shutter lag enough to get that mid-air photo! Good job! I guess we have to admit sometimes the ole P&S does beat us.

Must be in the genes! Same story here, my daughter gets amazing shots with her p&s. Talent will out, they say.
