I have had "issues" with focusing in my rangefinders. Specifically, my Olympus XA, Minoltina AL-s, and Minolta Hi-Matic 7s. Of course it's a tip from Rick Oleson who also has very detailed diagrams of Argus C3 amongst others... It's fairly simple, just placing a piece of tape or mark from a Sharpie marker on the front glass of the viewfinder. I just used a tiny square of electrical tape...I may switch to the Sharpie later on since this Florida heat will make this tape let go asap! The Minoltas seemed to be more in diamond shape, so I turned the piece of tape diagonally and applied it with tweezers while I looked through the viewfinder for placement. The Oly was in standard straight format and I applied in the same manner. They are all much easier to focus and I am looking around a room that is just ambient light...outdoors is gonna be super easy! I'm so happy to find a solution as I do alot of live music performance shots in small clubs that don't have much lighting. I used the Oly and was very disappointed with my focusing ability.
