Fringe benefit to collecting cameras: Hippy Straps! These period pieces often accomodate the Ebay or Craigslist find and, as it turns out, are more comfortable and durable than the thin, synthetic material newer ones. Two of mine are Bobby Lee Straps - Bobby Lee made guitar straps back in the 60's and also got into camera straps. Here are a few of mine. Fun! Peace, Mark

Mark,
They are very attractive. I have one but there is no maker's name on it.
I have never tried it. Perhaps now is the time.

From what I can tell Bobby Lee is no longer with us. He specialized in guitar straps back in the 50's & 60's, making straps for legends like Les Paul and Jimmy Hendrix. Here are a few: hippiestrap.com/search-results.aspBobby Lee straps still in the box sell on the web for around $50. The link above features original Bobby Lee prints made after market by Hippiestrap.com. My wife tells me she bought the greenish-blue original Bobby Lee (photo at top of thread) at Disneyland in 1988. Mark

The downside is the chafing that the clips cause - but that can sometimes look nice in itself. I've a very nice black Vivitar 220SL that looks great with the underlying brass showing through on the corners.

I only have one, but it's the one I find myself switching from one camera to the next all the time. Got it new in a camera store in Santa Cruz while in college-------back when I was wearing a flower in my hair! Roy
