A week ago I bought an slr from a US Ebay seller. Yesterday I received an email from him, advising the parcel had been returned by USPS with the advice that if a battery was contained therein, it must be removed before posting.
How many thousands of new and used batteries are carried by mail systems every day?
Have I missed something? Is there a danger I'm not aware of?
Or is this just another example of bureaucratic paranoia?
