Was checking out the way home, and some familiar names cropped up - some members will remember that I posted a couple of shots of this river in the 'creamy or lively' debate...
To the right is the 'Fishermen's Bar' as we used to know it. The cascade coming from above is from the first floor balcony - you'll note the rather fetching deluge down the spiral staircase. Off to the left, you may be forgiven for thinking that this is a rather boring waterfall - its actually a bridge that the kiddies used to leap off in the summer to the water 20 feet below.
Not the best angle, but the second half of the clip shows my timeshare cottage, with the river halfway up the windows. Maybe the seals will hold?
Been trying to phone them, but no reply. There could be a dozen reasons for that, but you can't help wondering - are they on a plane to Brasil? LOL!
Regards - John

Heartrending clips, John, but I'm glad to see you're keeping your British sense of humour through it.
Something gives me the idea you're going to have a spot of mopping-up to do when the water eventually gets back to its proper level. I hope everything of yours in the cottage is adequately insured. Even incidentals that you don't normally think about can take a tidy old sum to replace.
Keep your spirits up, old lad.
Regards
PeterW
