Maximatic 2000e 35mm camera. The item is cosmetically in great condition, it should work but I don't know for sure, I have never used it, this is something that came out of my closet. Regardless, it would make a nice collector's item. Camera features a 50mm lens (lens made in Japan). Also included is its original box and a new strap.
$15+ shipping Please reply or PM if interested. Thanks

An "AUTO FIX FOCUS 50 MM LENS". Looks a lot like a TIME magazine giveaway camera.

"this is something that came out of my closet. " I guess we all have skeletons in our closets. It appears to be sitting on the edge of a sink or bathtub. To how many fathoms is it waterproof? Mickey

Mickey:
"Full fathom five thy camera lies".
This looks the same as ones which have been around flea markets and boot fairs in the UK recently.
These are labelled "NIKKON" but they don't have "auto fix focus lenses". Oh, no. These have genuine "Made in Japan Focus Free Optical lenses".
Does anyone know a type of lens that isn't optical?

Help me out here, guys. Is this camera worth something? Like I said I found it in my closet, and figured I'd sell it to somebody who'd like to own one, rather than tossing it.

PeterW,
"Full fathom five thy camera lies". Evoking many, many sighs. Sigh. My first 35mm, a Zeiss Tenax I has been doing just that at the bottom of Lake Simcoe for lo these past 60 years. Sigh.
"Does anyone know a type of lens that isn't optical?" I do. I do. I have a non optical lens. It started out as a 2x close up lens but the glass dropped out and broke.
************************************************************* delorean,
Heavens. Don't toss it. Fill it with buckshot and use it as a unique door stop - or paperweight - or anchor.
