Cees de Groot has given up trying to maintain his website that was mainly concerned with Yashicas and Contaxes. He tried to run it as a Wiki, which relies to a great extent on the goodwill and common sense of the contributors, but just got bogged down with all the spam and illicit advertising. It's totally infested now. A shame, 'cause Cees is one of the nice guys.
"Bye, Bye I sorta had it with running my own server, my own site, hunting down spammers on my wikis all over the place, etcetera. I got better things to do. So, please expect this site to go away or at least turn into some static content hosted on a free server."
So once again, thanks Randy for hanging in there, and constant vigilance on here.
Regards - John

I think John means this site: www.cdegroot.com/photo-yashica/will no longer exist soon as there is too much trouble and not enough funds to maintain the site. Had some decent Yashica/Contax info. Also want to thank you for going the extra mile in maintaining this site so we all have somewhere to come and chat about the oldies.

What do we need to copy for preservation, let me know and I'll do it.

Yes, Curt has the right site. This was a page full of useful information on the Yashica 230AF (one of my favourite cameras): www.cdegroot.com/cgi-bin/photowiki/Yashica_AF230Everything you see is spam. You don't need to do anything Randy (other than what you're already doing!) Regards - John
