Does anyone else have this camera? If so, how do you like it?, especially the "Easy Flash "system...I used to have a Minolta SRT 101 so I am familiar with the metering system that this camera shares with it...

I had a Hi-Matic 9 but sold it. It has a great, not good, great lens. I was not successful in figuring out how to fully work the exposure system and never used flash on it. It was a little big for my liking, and like I said, I was confused by it, but I miss the lens on it. I have a Canonet GIII with a very good lens, I wasn't taken by the lenses in my Konica S3 or Yashica GSN. The Minolta was the best of the bunch that I had.

Scott,
If I may respectfully pop in...
Never had the Himatic 9 but did use one an acquaintance has to compare it to my Canonette 17 QL GIII and I found no noticeable preferance for one or the other.
Unless you specifically want the Minolta, you cannot go wrong with the Canonette. A number of us in the group have them and really like them.

I have one which I bought for $2.00 at a Salvation Army Thrift Store. I have never used it as the crank is missing from the rewind knob. I thought it would be easy to get a repacement knob. So it sits on the shelf and waits. Yet another in a growing roster of my miscalculations. Mickey
