One of many you will find on the Rock. Not much fishing to be done anymore and dismal at times. Hard country and nice people but tough on the younger generation. Bob

Oh sure, taunt the guy who wants to move there, LOL. Nice shot Bob, almost like being there. Been poring thru the Real Estate ads like crazy lately. C'mon lottery cash.

Hi Bob !
A nice picture ! Sometimes i wish i could get to a place like this. Especially when i am sitting in traffic jam for hours. It is not alway funny to live in a 2.5 million people area...

Curt
I hear ya, but I don't know if I could handle the winter snows there.
Mik
I try and avoid major centers as much as I can for the same reason. We managed to get there and back without going through any major cities except for Ottawa and St Johns.

MIK and Curt,
You ought to see Toronto now that the G20 is coming here.
ABYSMAL! Yes. Like a bottomless pit. Once one falls into the chaos of a traffic jam there is no escaping.
I look at Bob's photo of Newfoundland without a single car or policeman or stoplight and think, despite its economic woes, it must be close to heaven.

You just had to mention the G20! I can't say too much except I vibrate like a pager going off at it's mere mention. Something about squandering $1 billion I think. I feel for you guys in T.O. at the best of times and avoid going there like the plague. I hope you get back to what passes for normal down there soon.

Mickey,
For real traffic jams you ought to try driving in central London, or round the M25, nicknamed the largest car park in Britain. Five-mile queues and two-hour standstill waits are not uncommon.
Just one slight fender-bender is all it takes.

And in London, the government charges you a special tax for the privilege of driving in that nightmare.

It's a strange situation, the government put out propaganda TV programs to try and convince everybody that people actually live there (East-enders), but nobody's convinced. Who would be that stupid? Regards - John Answer. A Torontonian. I failed to mention in my previous letter that this is also the second of our two annual seasons. First is Winter. Then comes Road Repair Season. One cannot get anywhere from anywhere without being engulfed by those prolific breeders, the orange plastic pylons. That together with G 20 closures and thousands of prolific breeding demonstrators makes for many happy stay at home hours with Photoshop. Mickey ;D

Mickey You just had to mention the G20! I can't say too much except I vibrate like a pager going off at it's mere mention. .......... Bob Bob, After today's senseless, destructive violence by those proliferating anarchist cancers and those thousands of "peaceful" demonstrators who stood by and did nothing I should think you must be trembling like an 8.9 Richter scale earthquake. Our vastly outnumbered police had an impossible task and performed with great courage and restraint. My only criticism is that they should have cracked a lot more heads. Mickey P.S. Oh yes this is a photography site. Did you notice those curious, thrill seeking morons who came in droves with their little point and shoots holding their arms out to take souvenir photos for their scrap books while the vandals smashed shop windows and burned police cars? M.O.
