Used my Petri Pro 7 for the first time. When I took the film to be developed, they said the negatives were too close together to cut. What pictures I did get were half cut off or mingled with the next shot. Is this what they call a half frame camera? They left my negative in full roll.

Hi Randy, To answer your question, nope, the Pro Seven was a standard full frame 35 mm camera. Petri's half frame models were the Petri Half, Compact E, Compact 17 and Half Seven. Unless yours is a Half Seven, I'd say you have a film advance problem. With overlapping images and images close together it sounds as if the film advance is slipping and only partially catching. Not sure where the clutch may be on this one, maybe Peter would know? On the 7S there is a small slot in the take up gear (toothed reel before take up spool) and in that slot is a small screw that holds the geared wheel to the take up assembly. If this screw is missing or loose this might cause your problem. Hope you get this figured out as otherwise the Pro Seven is a nice old Petri.
