I have just been reading through Peter W's thread about nothing in particular cameracollector.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=op&action=display&thread=4988&page=1. There is nothing like a nice bit of waffle. There was some excellent waffle to be had in the Waffle House in Daytona, Fl. We went there, Florida, on our one foray to the USA in 1996. For me it was the best restaurant we went to in the two weeks we were over there - if only in terms of the service. It was a breakfast stop - perhaps brunch is the better term. Anyway we asked the waitress about grits, having heard about them but never having eaten them. "Well," the waitress replied "some have them boiled and mashed like potato, some fry them. Some have them as a pudding with honey or syrup. You want to try them." She then added "You might not want them again, but you want to try them."
