Saw that, Randy. Thanks. Years ago they had a dinner train around here that you could book for a really gourmet meal. Train went about an hour out of town, then turned around and came back (actually, it didn't turn around, it just backed up).

Johnny, when were you in the Boulder Creek/Felton area? I spent several years in that area while attending college. Learned to fly at the old Sky Park airport in Scotts Valley. That airport is now a shopping center. I have a bunch of slides of the Roaring Camp RR. Should dig them out and copy them. Roy

Did you make the train, Dave? Roy, my family lived in Cupertino 1970 - 1972, before it was Silicon Valley and just nice pasture land. We often took day trips around the Peninsula. (After that we lived in San Rafael for six years.)

JD, I am inclined to make the occasional unlikely journey, but that would have been a sleeper too far even for me. Maybe one day though.
Dave.

Johnny--I spent my early years in Morgan Hill, and started my law enforcement career with Morgan Hill PD in 1970. Drove across Highway 17 from San Jose to Santa Cruz hundreds of times. The Santa Cruz area is still one of my favorite parts of California, even if they did demolish the airfield in Scotts Valley! Roy

Roy, do I remember correctly that Scotts Valley hosted sailplanes?
