Wish it was my house and not a retail store. A very pleasant place to browse through. I thought they might look OK in B&W. Any thoughts? Bob

I certainly cannot criticize your beautiful B&W pictures but wouldn't colour provide more information about the decor, the furniture, the art and the overall intentions of the decorator?

Andy Thanks Mickey Colour surely might do all those things and likely do in the original colour versions. I think I was trying to simplify them down to shapes, lines, light and shadow. Colour might distract from that sort of thing or not. I guess that is what makes a horse race. Bob

WOW ! I would like to sit in these wooden chairs, reading a book instead of working the whole day Bob, great pictures ! I like the coloured version, because the B&W are looking some kind of 1960`s furniture. MIK

Bob,
The colour pictures really show what a beautiful house it is.
I, personally think the pictures are too busy to be able to
That would probably work by using smaller elements of the picture rather than the whole frame.

MIK
Thanks, me to for sitting there, it was quite the store.
Mickey
Good point on being too busy with too many elements at work. I generally think/see wide which is not always a good thing. I just don't see/think telephoto and for me that is 50mm and longer.

Save that last chair for me please.
I could get used to that life style - as long as I don't have to do the dusting.
Mickey
P.S. Never mind the chair. I'll sit on the deck and hang my feet in the water.

Both work in B&W, crisp contrast and full grayscale. I think the interior works best in colour, with help of the store dresser who put up areas of different colours. Very successful.

Interesting, Sid. I actually prefer the exterior in color and the interior B&W.
