I just spent a few hours over several days trying to adjust the RF on a Vitomatic IIb. For most people with normal digits instead of all thumbs it might not be as time consuming/frustrating. Whoever said Voigtlanders were complicated/hard to work on was spot on. At least I know what screws to touch and what to leave well enough alone. Maybe I should make a crude diagram so I remember for next time; naw that would be too logical. Anyway to anyone else who ay want to try it in the future you have my condolences. All looks good so I might run a roll through it to test the RF and to see how close to reality I have adjusted the meter.

Well done, Bob.
I know from experience that adjusting rangefinders is like bangining your head with a brick: sure feels good when you stop.
I'd LOVE to see a factory tech setting a rangefinder on a factory rig. I bet she (it'd have to be a she) would do it in seconds. Let me see you do another, Fraulein!
I never get mine right without lifting the darn top off at least 4 times.

Micheal
You are so right in the assumption that RF units are set up by the female gender at the factory. I think they have far more patience and dexterity than their male counterparts. I know my wife has those particular traits in spades especially since she can put up with me.
