Took this shot of fan trip engine NKP #759 in 1971 east of Erie PA. This is after the Driving of the Golden Spike Excusions. This engine ran all over the eastern US for the High Iron Company. It now sits rusting away at Steamtown in Scranton PA.

"It now sits rusting away at Steamtown.."
Let's hope they restore it to its former glory before it ends up just a pile of rust and dust.

Randy, Have you ever been to Steamtown? It's only about an hours drive from here, and I've always wanted to visit, but just never got around to it. I know that they offer an autumn trip through the mountains. That would be a lot of fun Doug

I went to Steamtown back when it was in Bellows Falls Vermont. The locomotive sat unused there also.
