Both ways, BATF guns going south and border jumpers moving north. I was having some of my very expensive prescriptions filled in Canada and got a very nasty form letter from customs warning me of possible criminal violations. This was at about the same time the Department of Justice began it's gunrunning program.

Bob, I had to look BATF up to find out for sure what it meant - The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
I presume the word bureaucracy comes form bureau so their worry about your prescriptions was only to be expected. As regards The Department of Justice - well it has to earn an honest buck one way or another and gunrunning is as good a way as any.

They didn't make any money, they just spent 10 million dollars and aided in the death of hundreds. Watch the news, the media will have to start honestly reporting the details, sooner or later.

]I trust KEH much more than I do other sources, their quality ratings are honest and conservative. Ebay gets crazy on a regular basis.

Bob, I've only looked recently at KEH but I'm sure you are right. There is an eBay seller near Birmingham which gives honest descriptions and (most) things at sensible prices - stores.ebay.co.uk/The-Photographers-Bag?_rdc=1 - there's usually more for sale than there is at present.

Dave, I bought a lens from that seller earlier in the year and was very pleased with it. He does some excellent pictures of each item so you can see what you are getting.

I am after (not with any degree of urgency) a Voigtlander Vito B with a large viewfinder. On Ebay today the starting prices range from £0.99 plus £2.75 postage (sensible) to £36.99 plus £21.00 postage (I wish them well). I am hoping to pay around £10.00 to £15.00 for the camera plus £5.00 max postage

Post (and packing) costs are quite ridiculous from some sellers. I presume they work on the basis that if they make a good profit on the postage it doesn't matter if the item sells for less than they would hope. They should be given poor marks. (Just looked up on eBay and to be fair the expensive postage on the VITOs is from Denmark. The rest range from £2.75 to £5.99 but that one includes case and exposure meter.)
Rachel, I'm not sure if that site is he or she or both. As you say good photos of the object being sold. The only problem is that the portfolio is limited. So no Vito Bs.
To combine the two chains of thought, The Photographer's Bag (link above) at the moment has a Canon 1000FN, Buy It Now, £6.99 postage paid. Two other (film Canons) are £2.29 postage with bids starting at 99p. All have about half a dozen photos so it is easy to see the condition.

I didn't mean that the Denmark postage cost wasn't over the top, but just that one would expect it to be more than postage from Britain. Hong Kong presumably has lower costs at base and economy of scale could mean there is cheaper postage available, in spite of the distance.
Parcel post from Denmark to the UK is roughly £10 (if I have my exchange rates correct). Presumably insured post is a little more and then there is packing. What this means is that the quoted cost is too high by about £10. As you say, he won't sell that camera in Britain, particularly when there are other "Buy It Now" cameras whose all in cost is less than his postage from Denmark.

Why is there a question mark inside a diamond in front of some prices?

Mickey, whoever set up ascii codes either didn't get it quite right or, more probably, the code isn't being read correctly either by the forum or your computer and it's keyboard.
That to which to refer is meant to be the pound sign, £. it's showing up okay on my terminals but your interpretation show as a i with an umlaut followed by an upside down question mark and the mathematical notation for one half.
