I'm sure it looks impressive in 3D, but I need a 3D viewer to see it at its best.

You can view in 3D without a 3D viewer but it takes some practise. Luckily I have an old Stereo Realist manual complete with viewer but it's still tricky to do it off the computer monitor rather than a picture in a book.

I just tried it with some cardboard red and blue stereo glasses. I think it works but am not sure. Stereo, other than Viewmaster slides, was always elusive to these eyes (brain?).

Rachel, yes, it's probably like those books that have been published where once you have focused - or actually defocused - the underlying patten becomes visible. I did try it when I glanced earlier but I probably didn't try hard enough.

Well after some perseverance I've managed to view the full size image in stereo without any "aids". Barbarian, how did you create the image?

Just got it also. The technique with the books, and it seems to work with the monitor too, is to go close to the picture so it's not really in focus and to slowly draw away while still, as it were, staring into the distance. If you are lucky the image(s) suddenly snap into "focus".

To be fair, Roy, what else would you want to be doing at 5 in the morning.

I'm using the "cross-eyes" technique. I took one shot, moved a couple of steps to the right, and took another. Then I put the right one on the left, and the left one on the right.
Sounds stupid, but it works.
