Hi gang,
Sorry to have been away for about a week. I had a major computer crash which meant a new motherboard and chip.
However, I'm all up and running again

Peter, these things happen. I've a heatsink hanging on by one clip only, no sign of the other one, so one of these days (or weeks, or months, or) there's going to be a puff of smoke from inside the box.
Hope nothing happened as a consequence, like your archive of stuff.

Normally its the software though I have had hardware go down occasionally. In terms of the motherboard, RAM chips seem to have been the only things that have failed (or at least one make don't seem to have worked well when in harness with another make).
Peter, it good to have you back. In a sense though I haven't really missed you: I seem to have been away from the keyboard in recent weeks and have only occasionally glanced at one or two of the threads.

Glad you are back Peter. I know all about Motherboards going on the fritz. That's why I keep that old computer sitting beside this one, just in case.
