I was shopping with my daughter last night and I found this: www.kaboodle.com/reviews/vintage-camera-iphone-4-caseSerching google, I discovered there are several other versions including Leica, Polaroid, Diana, TLR, etc. I don't have an iPhone, but if I did, it would be in one of these cases.

Ha Ha!
Actually, I don't want an Iphone, or any other mobile phone. When I am away from home I don't wish to be disturbed by a ringing/singing phone.

On our recent trip there was one woman using an iPad to take pictures. She would hold the device out in front of her to compose the picture. She looked ridiculous.

Geoff,
When I retired 11 years ago I gave up my cell phone. I feel exactly as you do. And I thought I was the only earthly inhabitant who didn't walk with his hand beside his head.

Hey Wayne,
For ridiculous how about those thousands of fireflies that twinkle in arenas and sports stadiums. The light each emits does not effect the picture of the subject on the stage. If they do get acceptable photos it is due to ambient light or stage lighting. But it does make an interesting display which the battery manufacturers must enjoy immensely.

Fhe trouble is that often cameras have autoflash which can't be turned off, if only because the owner hasn't read the instruction booklet. If the stadium has decent lighting it will be bright enough.

I will admit to having a cell phone but on holiday overseas I do not have one nor a laptop. I just want to enjoy my holiday and see no need to be bothered with being in touch. Also there is less to carry or have stolen. Plenty of time to catch up on things when I get home. At home the cell is rarely in used.
A relative of my wife thought my wife's camera was broken because she took photos with no flash. So much for people reading their owners manual.

I must admit I do have a mobile phone. The trouble is I keep losing it. It's not too bad to find it when the battery is charged - I can always dial the number - but once power runs out it can remain hidden for days. Typically the time I really needed it last week there was no battery power. (I was on the motorway come home in the late afternoon and had a front tyre blow out at 70mph. I think there was something on the carriageway that I ran over. One thing I have learned is that a Volvo S80 has absolutely no problem keeping on a straight line even with a front tyre blow-out at 70mph. I had one years ago, significantly slower than that and was all over the place. The other thong I have learned is that not having any sort of spare isn't the best idea around. I'm sure the get-you-home tyre solution/inflater works okay for a simple puncture, but mine was shredded.) p.s. if you are reading this in the US for tyre read tire! I hadn't really thought of disguising the mobile phone as a collectible camera, though I do remember the days when mobile phones resembled rather heavy bricks.

For those you would use the Argus C3 cover. A lot of people say that they like a mobile phone for the freedom to go everywhere and stay in touch. I say it is more like a ball and chain for the same reason. I am always getting scolded by my family for not turning my phone on when I leave work. I only have a 15 minute drive, can't it wait until I get home?
