Continuing the September trip to Wasdale, this was the sunny day of the trip. We walked into Mosedale, a side valley right at the head of Wasdale. A last look at Great Gable before turning our backs on her. The Napes, the pinnacles below the summit of Great Gable (enlarged from previous), the slenderest is Napes Needle, popular with those who think they're spiders. They all line up below the tip of the needle, where there's just room for one at a time Mosedale beck roaring through its ravine Heather on the hillside above Centuries old moss on centuries old stone walls Mosedale widens out above the ravine, pasture for the sheep that roam everywhere here. The foot of Kirk Fell in shaddow, Black Sail Pass ascends behind it. The head of Mosedale. Returning, Wasdale appears through the trees Great Gable appears again Across the packhorse bridge over Mosedale beck And back to Wasdale Canon Powershot G11

Thanks for your kind remarks. That one sunny day made up for all the rainy ones. Of course if it had been sunny one of the other days ....

Sid, a bit of sun is always nice but, as you will know, the wettest part of Britain, Seathwaite, is nearby. However, it must be said, no matter how much we like that bit of sun without the rain there would be no lakes.
I do have some photos, mainly colour negative, of the times we went walking. I did do more video than photos, though. Sometime I must re-edit it all and put it on DVD.

I deliberately avoided starting cine or video - hard enough to find time for still photos, now it's hard to fnd time to digitize them.
