Hey folks, just joined.
I've been a hobbyist photographer for most of my life. My first camera was a Polaroid that my parents bought for me when I was a kid growing up in the 1980s. I took lots of photos with it as a boy.
I took photography classes throughout high school and college, before the days of digital, primarily using a Canon T-80 SLR.
Around the turn of the century, I bought my first digital camera, a 2.1 Mega pixel Sony Cybershot. A few years later, I decided to give Nikon a try, and over the years I put together a pretty nice bag of digital gear. Digital photography is an amazing thing, and I never thought I would look back.
Until now. For some reason, I decided I needed to purchase an old fashioned Nikon body that I can use with some of my newer Nikkor lenses. So I got on eBay with hopes to find something to fill that void, so I can shoot some nice black & white film again. I still think there is no replacement for the real thing, especially with black & white. And despite the convenience and enjoyment I get from digital, I do realize how it has cheapened the overall experience of taking pictures.
Anyway, boredom got ahold of me and I started browsing through pages and pages of vintage cameras. And I bought a few.
One of my New Years resolutions is to be more creative. Meaning, I need to do what ever it takes to exercise my creative side. My stressful job most of the time saps me of inspiration, so I decided I need to force creativity any way I can. That's when I got the idea to start shooting film again, with vintage cameras I find online. I am going to try to stick to 35mm and Polaroid, and I am going to attempt to stick to cameras that cost under $30, and that are in working order. I also want to buy only one a month. I tend to get carried away with my hobbies and I don't want that to happen.
Naturally, a forum related to the subject of interest was in order. So here I am.

PS - Does this forum have a section for posting photos taken with vintage cameras? Does this forum have a Polaroid section?
