Hi ! I found this little camera some weeks ago at ebay: The Nizo Elektronik 1000 for instamatic 126 cassettes, produced from 1968 till 1971. The lens is a Schneider Radionar 2.8/40, the camera has a coupled rangefinder and an electronic shutter up to 1/1000. This is the only still-camera sold by the Braun AG in Frankfurt / Germany and actually built by Balda , which is embossed inside the housing. Not to be confused with the Braun company in Nuremberg that made the Paxette`s for instance. Nizo had been famous for manufacturing several high quality 8mm and super-8 movie cameras. Nizo had been founded in 1925 by two gentlemen named Niezoldi and Kraemer and had been taken over by Braun in the early 1960`s. I like the design MIK

I always liked the name Nizo. It sounds like an anti-flea treatment.
