The only Minolta I've owned was an Autocord TLR 6x6 which I loved dearly. Curse me for selling that camera! Here's a shot of a local waterfall. Minolta Autocord, Kodak Tmax 100, f/11, 1 second, ND filter attached with duct tape, printed by yours truly while comsuming Newcastle Brown; In case you're wondering, this waterfall is only 5 feet tall. Very nice! I've always wanted an Autocord. The only real TLR I have is a Japanese Hobiflex.

Hi Steve,
The one of your son has a real atmosphere about it - definitely one for blowing up and framing (although I suppose he hates it, as they do !)

Actually he doesn't mind it now but hated it when I was shooting it. He's been a victim of my portrait habit (poor kid, lol!) his whole life and has little patience making him a good practice subject.
I enlarged it to 11 x 14 and entered it into the local fair. It received 3rd place in B&W Portrait open class division.

Steve,
That is neat on the award! It is really a cute shot!
Were there too many times early on that you had to tie him up to make him pose? He looks like such a natural in this pic.

LOL! When we lived in Spokane, my wife and I converted our living room into a studio and were shooting portraits. We used our son so much that just hearing the word "camera" or "picture" makes him run and hide! Luckily for him, I shot this one on the fly because I was getting ready for work so it was done and over in a couple of minutes. Here's one Michelle and I shot together: These are the daughters of one of Michelle's co-workers. Minolta Autocord, f/8, 1/30, two 150w strobes. The nice thing about Autocords is that they are really versatile as they are completely mechanical and the leaf shutters allow you to shoot with strobes at any shutter speed. I imagine this holds true with the other TLR's in it's class. The only weird thing is that since they shoot in 6x6 you end up cropping heavily so you have to pay carefull attention to framing while shooting.
