I should after all introduce myself after lurking and posting on this fine forum of Camera Collecting enthusiasts forum.
Hi, my name is Phil. I live down under in Adelaide, South Australia. Have all my life. I sorta came to this forum through research for a camera & a mutual friend. Colray over in Western Australia. Was checking out one of his scratch built cameras. When found that this forum has information that is a world wide knowledge base.
I came back to photography only recently about 3 years ago. I've always loved the visual side of art & think that this is a way I to could express myself. (NOT).
The first camera I ever bought for myself & loved was a Ricoh. Mostly now I collect cameras, try to collect Ricoh, but have branched out into the world of Ebay & bought way to much, plus some other fine stuff along the way. I guess I just like the look of chrome & leather.
So I've started a few collections. Ricoh, Japanese 50's RF's, Some Russian stuff & now Aussie Hanimex. The Hanimex lead me into collecting German Finetta stuff. Funny that.
If its B&W ? I develop it myself. But lately I've been shooting colour. So it's sent for processing. I never print anything as I don't think it printable. I just digitize it for Flickr to shere world wide.
I've enjoyed my time here at the Camera Collector forum & just like cameras.
