Been a boring day... the 720nm filter that I order over 3 weeks ago still hasn't arrived..so my IR project is on hold..so I thought why not try and make a miniature anamorphic pinhole camera . Start by cutting the wrap around film holder.

With normal photography the film plane flat and perpendicular to the optical axis. The anamorphic pinhole camera the film in a cylinder parallel to the optical axis. This creates a very odd distorted field of view.

This is a good reason for trying pinhole photography!
I had never heard of this type of camera.

Hi Julio the results can look great..but that's not always the case. Over the years I have made several and must admit it's not the most user friendly pinhole format. One problem is the focal length in this little camera it's 15- 45mm and the angel of view isn't the way you think it should be .

Okay the quality is crap.. but it's a start. First test image . the pinhole use was on the large side 500 micron so that is the first thing that will be changed. I'm thinking 200m would be better. The cut off at the top of the picture should be better now I have removed some of the timber around the pinhole. It is not that large. First image taken at the wrong time of the day. This is the shot taken with my DSLR

Col,
Very cool. For now looks like a prototype. Will you be adding film advance and rewind knobs in a finished version?
