Hi ! I purchased this gem a week ago and yesterday I got the new registration and the license plates: Peugeot 403 from 1958 in original condition with an 1,5l / 60HP engine. This car had been constantly on the road and registered since 1958. My son will help me with some small repairs and settings. If it is not raining tomorrow I will do a test drive MIK

Appears to be in wonderful shape for being in constant use all these years. Congratulations, MIK.

Nice car, MIK! Enjoy! I like Peugeot a lot, and have driven a 404i, 304GLD, 405GLD, and a 406SRD in my time. Hans

Hi MIK!
Congratulations on the new set of wheels! Very cool!! I've always been a fan of French Autos. I would love to have an Ami 6 or Panhard Dyna, they are just odd enough to appeal to me. I owned a Daf while living in Germany. I loved that old car, it sounded like a sewing machine ;D

What an elegant looking car. The styling is timeless.
Surely it can withstand a few raindrops.
Congrats.

DAF is a true NL car, you love them too?? Hans (once a proud owner of a DAF66, the fastest car driving backwards!)

Hans,
Yes I do! Mine was a lemon yellow Daf44. If I ever find a Daffodil, it will be mine ;D

Oh boy. I drove one of those when young. It was the car of a father's good friend, we were doing long distance travel and drivers were needed. Then I drove the 403 in city traffic too. It was a wonderful car, with lots of acceleration and excellent road behaviour. Weird position of manual gears, first gear was down. Third was very long and fourth was kind of an overdrive. BTW same colour as yours. Could be the same car for all I know.

Hi !
Have many thanks guys ! I did a test drive on Saturday and I must confess that I learned anew how to drive a car ( without all that smart electronic stuff ). The steering wheel gear shift needs getting used to and the braking distance is comparable with an oil tanker. I had been afraid of the first curve, because of getting a ton of French steel handled by such a fragile looking steering wheel. No rain on Saturday, this car would withstand a hurricane, but the sun roof is leaking and needs some new seals. A great vintage car that makes a lot of fun and now I am waiting for summer to come :-)
