Hi! Here's another of the cameras that I picked up at the flea market last weekend. It'a an Amica Eyelux. I haven't cleaned it yet, but I did replace the old battery and everything checks out ok. There is very little information on it, but what little I could find states that it's a rebadged Taron product. The case that it came with is in good shape, but needs a new strap. Tomorrow is going to be a slow day (finally!!), so I think I'll clean it then. Doug

That looks like it could be a fun camera to use. Give us an update.

Hi All! My camera had a VERY stiff focusing ring. I tried to warm it, and it started moving some. Next I tried a bit of watch oil, which got it moving even better. That's as far as I got It still feels tight, but I don't really want to take it apart. I thought I'd try a few drops of mineral spirits, that softens old grease on other things, but I'm not sure if it's the right thing to use here. Any ideas? Doug

A few drops of petrol,( lighter fluid), dripped into the gaps may free things, but if it is still un-stripped, then the actual focus thread will be well hidden. Sometimes you can see the edges of the thread inside the camera around the lens, that's where to apply light oil. Meths, ( Mineral spirit, or pure alcohol), will work as well, but it is not quite as penetrating as petrol. Stephen.
